On 10/15/25 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of N. Main St. and W. Boulevards St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Sean A. Eggenberger, 55 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was under the influence. Eggenberger was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Eggenberger was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC > .08. Eggenberger was released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
