On 05/10/26 Officers arrested John Cunningham, 62 years old of Aurora, Illinois, after making contact with him in the 900-block of E. Arnold St. Cunningham was charged with Unlawful Violation of an Order of Protection and transported to the DeKalb County Jail in Sycamore, Illinois to await a hearing.

On 05/05/26 Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the area of the 200-block of E. Pleasant Ave, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was found that a battery had occurred between family members. Stephany Sanchez, 30 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was placed under arrest and charged with two (2) counts of Domestic Battery. Sanchez was transported to the DeKalb County Jail for housing.

On 05/04/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of N. Latham St. and E. Bender St, Sandwich, Illinois. Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, Destiny Chavez, 21 years old of Carpentersville, Illinois, did not possess a valid driver’s license. Chavez was cited for Driving While License Suspended and released with a notice to appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 05/02/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Gletty Rd. and S. County Line Rd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, Tyler Supancic, 26 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, did not possess a valid driver’s license. Supancic was cited for Driving While License Revoked and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 04/27/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E. Church St. and Griswold Springs Rd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the driver, Carlos Xol-Botzoc, 20 years old of Aurora, Illinois, did not possess a valid driver’s license. Xol-Botzoc was cited for No Valid Driver’s License and released with a Notice to Appear at a future Dekalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 04/26/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E. Church St. and Sandy Bluff Rd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected the driver, Erika Oceguera, 38 years old of Chicago, Illinois, was under the influence. Oceguera was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Oceguera was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and released with a Notice to Appear at a future Kendall County court date in Yorkville, Illinois.

On 04/22/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E. Church St. and Pearl St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the driver, Adriana Garcia-Serrano, 54 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, did not possess a valid driver’s license. Garcia-Serrano was cited for No Valid Driver’s License and released with a Notice to Appear at a future Dekalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 04/20/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop on a semi truck in the area of the 1200-block of E. 6th St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the driver, Jonathan Ashby, 38 years old of Okolona, Mississippi, did not possess a valid CDL driver’s license. Ashby was cited for Driving While License Suspended and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 04/19/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of S. County Line Rd. and 2750th Rd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected the driver, Devin Rowan, 27 years old of Somonauk, Illinois, was under the influence. Rowan was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Rowan was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 04/17/26 Officers responded to the 800-block of N. Main St, Sandwich, for a domestic disturbance. Upon further investigation it was determined that a battery had occurred between household members. Marcus Corson, 45 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Corson was charged with two (2) counts of Domestic Battery and was eventually transported to the DeKalb County Jail in Sycamore, Illinois, to await a hearing.

On 04/15/26 Officers responded to the 400-block of E. Hall St, Sandwich, for a domestic disturbance. Upon further investigation it was found that a 14 year old juvenile battered a family member. The juvenile was placed under arrest and later released to a family member. Domestic Battery charges have been referred to the DeKalb County State’s Attorney’s Office Juvenile Division.

Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Paul Leifheit, 37 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was under the influence. Leifheit was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Leifheit was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08 and released with a Notice to Appear at a future Dekalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 04/11/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of S. County Line Rd. and N. 4750th Rd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Mark Brackett, 34 years old of Montgomery, Illinois, was under the influence. Brackett was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Brackett was issued citations for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08, and Driving While License Suspended and released with a Notice to Appear at a future LaSalle County court date in Ottawa, Illinois.

On 04/07/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300-block of Wentworth Drive, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the driver, Austin Pirofalo, 30 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, did not possess a valid driver’s license. Pirofalo was cited for Driving While License Suspended and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 04/03/26 Officers investigated a Domestic Disturbance in the 500-blk of N. Castle St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was determined that a battery had occurred between two people in a dating relationship, however the suspect had left the scene. The suspect, Katie Ryba, 41 years old of Earlville, Illinois, was located by the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office in Earlville, Illinois, placed under arrest, and transferred to the Sandwich Police Department. Ryba was charged with two (2) counts of Domestic Battery and Unlawful Interference with Reporting Domestic Violence. Ryba was transported to the DeKalb County Jail in Sycamore, Illinois for housing.

On 04/02/26 Officers made contact with Alexander Kearns, 27 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, in the 400-blk of E. Hall St, Sandwich. Kearns was placed under arrest and charged with felony False Personation of a Peace Officer, the result of an ongoing Sandwich Police Department investigation. Kearns was processed and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 03/29/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Frazier Rd, and Sandy Bluff Rd, Plano. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Isaias Valadez, 22 years old of Bolingbrook, Illinois, was under the influence. Valadez was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Valadez was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08 and released with a Notice to Appear at a future Kendall County court date in Yorkville, Illinois.
