On 12/04/23 Sandwich Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of the 1400-blk of Suydam Rd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, Colton J. Scott, 36 of Denver, Colorado, was suspected of being under the influence and also possessed a revoked driver’s license. Scott was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Scott was subsequently charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While License Revoked. After processing was completed, Scott was released with a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 11/24/23 Sandwich Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1200-block of E. Church St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was found that one of the involved drivers did not possess a valid driver’s license. Gordon A. Tooley, 75 of Sandwich, Illinois, was cited for No Valid Driver’s License and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 11/24/23 Sandwich Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Griswold Springs Rd and Sandy Bluff Rd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, Kara M. Viers, 34 of Downer’s Grove, Illinois, possessed a revoked Illinois driver’s license and possessed a valid Failure to Appear warrant out of Lake County, Illinois on a DUI charge. Viers was cited for Driving While License Revoked and issued a Notice to Appear for a future Kendall County court date in Yorkville, Illinois. Viers was transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing on the FTA warrant. After processing was completed, Viers was released with a future Lake County court date in Waukegan, Illinois.

On 11/13/23 Sandwich Officers conducted a traffic stop on a non-highway vehicle in the 900-block of N. Wolfe St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, a 15 year old male juvenile of Sandwich, Illinois, was operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license. The juvenile was cited on scene with No Valid Driver’s License and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 11/11/23 Sandwich Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of S. County Line Rd. and Lorraine Dr, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, Cristobal Roman-Irizarry, 42 of Plano, Illinois, was suspected of driving under the influence. Roman-Irizarry was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for booking procedures. During the course of investigation, Roman- Irizarry was found to be in possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Roman-Irizarry was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Possession of a Concealed Carry Firearm While Intoxicated. He was released with a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.

On 11/01/23 Sandwich Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Griswold Springs Rd. and Kees Ln, Sandwich for a moving violation. Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, Joseph A. Crouse, 43 of Burbank, Illinois, did not possess a valid driver’s license. Crouse was charged with Driving While License Suspended and issued a Notice to Appear with a future Kendall County court date in Yorkville, Illinois.

On 10/13/23 Sandwich Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E. Church St. and Sandy Bluff Rd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, Beatriz Salas-Garcia, 27 of Woodridge, Illinois, did not possess a valid driver’s license. Salas-Garcia was charged with No Valid Driver’s License and issued a Notice to Appear with a future Kendall County court date in Yorkville, Illinois.

On 10/08/23 Sandwich Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of N. Latham St and E. Pleasant Ave, Sandwich for a moving violation. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Cole D. Thorpen, 26 of Sheridan, Illinois, was driving under the influence. Thorpen was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. After processing was complete Thorpen was released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois. Thorpen was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC of over .08.

On 09/30/23 Sandwich Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E 29th Rd and S. County Line Rd, Sandwich, relating to a moving violation. Upon further investigation it was found that the driver, Socorro Valdiviezo-Gonzalez, 51 of Sandwich, Illinois, possessed a baggy with a white powdery substance. During the course of contact the driver attempted to destroy the baggy of white powdery substance. It was also discovered that the driver possessed a suspended Illinois driver’s license and a Failure to Appear warrant out of Kendall County for a traffic offense. Socorro was placed under arrest and processed at the Sandwich Police Department. Socorro was charged with Obstructing Justice and Driving While License Suspended and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois. Socorro posted bond on the Kendall County warrant as was released with a future Kendall County court date in Yorkville, Illinois.
