On August 6th, Chief Senne, Sergeant Whitecotton, School Resource Officer French, Officer Hegland and Officer Dwyer attended the Back to School Bash at Prairie View Elementary School!

Our officers enjoyed spending time with students and their families while handing out popsicles to help everyone beat the heat and pencils to help students get ready for a successful school year.

Thank you to Prairie View Elementary School for hosting such a great event. We wish all of our students, teachers, and school staff a safe, fun, and successful school year. We look forward to seeing everyone back in the classrooms soon! 📚✏️🍦

🚔 Looks like Sergeant Whitecotton and Officer Dwyer found some tough competition today!

They stopped by the Fox Valley Community Center for a friendly game of Bean Bag Baseball. While we can't confirm who came out on top, we can confirm there were plenty of laughs, smiles, and a little friendly competition along the way.

We're already looking forward to the rematch! ⚾

What an incredible National Night Out 2026!

On behalf of the Sandwich Police Department, thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this year’s event such a tremendous success. Seeing so many families, friends, and neighbors enjoying the evening together is what National Night Out is all about.

A special thank you to Bill Novicky and the Sandwich Park District for hosting this year’s event. We truly appreciate your partnership and support.

Thank you to Riplock for providing an outstanding musical performance that kept the energy high throughout the evening.

Thank you to the Sandwich Fire Department, Narvick Brothers Concrete, and Gibson’s Towing for participating in our Touch-a-Truck event and giving kids an opportunity to explore your vehicles and equipment.

We also want to thank every business and organization that took the time to set up a booth and engage with our community. Your participation helped make the event fun, informative, and memorable.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to our 2026 National Night Out sponsors, whose generous financial contributions helped provide extra activities and experiences for the kids:
