This morning Sergeant Whitecotton had the honor of picking up our Junior Undercover Agent “AB” for school after winning the “Here Comes Trouble: Ride to School in a Police Car” contest.

AB quickly proved he was ready for the job. Sergeant Whitecotton said AB may have been the best backup unit he’s ever had. Always alert, keeping an eye on things, and ready for action. We’re pretty sure he was one second away from making a traffic stop.

Thank you, AB, for riding along with us and starting the day with a smile. We hope you had a great time and remember… there may be room for future recruits at the Sandwich Police Department.

Congratulations to Sergeant Brian Fasnacht and Class #631 on graduating from Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command.

The School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC) is an intensive leadership and management program designed to prepare law enforcement professionals for the complex challenges of modern policing. The program focuses on critical areas including leadership, organizational behavior, communication, planning, and decision making, helping develop the next generation of law enforcement leaders.

This accomplishment reflects Brian’s dedication to professional growth and continued commitment to serving our community. We are all proud of you, Brian, and look forward to seeing the continued impact you’ll make here at the Sandwich Police Department.

Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!

School safety goes far beyond drills and procedures. It’s built through trust, familiarity, and positive daily interactions with the students we serve.

SRO Bright continues to make those connections every day, whether it’s offering encouragement, sharing a laugh, or handing out high fives. Moments like these may seem small, but they help create an environment where kids feel safe, supported, and comfortable approaching law enforcement.

SROs make an impact on our youth and community every single day.
