City Lot #1 will be closed beginning Tuesday, September 22 at 7:00 AM through Thursday, September 24 at 9:00 PM. All vehicles must be removed from the lot prior to the closure. Vehicles left in the lot may be towed.
Wednesday, September 23: Railroad Street will be closed between Main Street and Wells Street from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM for the Taste of Sandwich.
Thursday, September 24: Railroad Street will be closed between Main Street and Eddy Street from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM for the Under the Big Top Craft Fair.
Please plan accordingly and use alternate routes during these times. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while these events take place in our community.

We stopped by Fox Valley Community Services today to help call a few games of BINGO!
We quickly learned this is a pretty intense crowd when BINGO is on the line! 😂 We had a great time sharing some laughs, visiting with everyone, and spending time with some familiar faces.
Thank you to Fox Valley Community Services for always making us feel welcome. We’re grateful for every opportunity to get out into the community and spend time with the people we serve!

Today, September 12th, is National Police Woman Day, and we could not think of a better opportunity to recognize Officer Devin Vaughn, the Sandwich Police Department’s one and only female police officer!
Officer Vaughn recently graduated from the police academy and is currently working through her field training. While she may be new to the profession, she has already made a great impression on our department and the community.
Officer Vaughn comes to work every day eager to learn, motivated, and ready to work. She has embraced every challenge thrown her way and continues to improve with each shift. Her enthusiasm for the job, willingness to learn, and genuine desire to serve the community have not gone unnoticed.
Starting a career in law enforcement is no easy task, but Officer Vaughn has hit the ground running and has been doing an outstanding job.
On National Police Woman Day, we are proud to recognize Officer Vaughn and all of the women who have chosen a career in law enforcement and dedicated themselves to serving their communities.
