On 03/09/25 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of S. Main St. and Lions Rd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Yoandy Perez-Llanes, 45-year-old of Aurora, Illinois, was driving under the influence. Perez-Llanes was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Perez-Llanes was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Resisting a Police Officer, and Obstructing a Peace Officer. Perez-Llanes was released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
