On 09/09/2023 Sandwich Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 1100 block of E. Railroad St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was determined that Michael T. Copp, 36 of Sandwich, Illinois, had battered another household member. While taking Copp into custody he resisted arrest. Once Copp was secured he was transported directly to the DeKalb County Jail in Sycamore, Illinois for processing and to await a bond hearing. Copp was charged with two (2) counts of Domestic Battery and Resisting a Peace Officer.
