A message from Chief of Police Kevin Senne
Greetings
May is upon us with the weather warming up.
We swore in Officer Dwyer at the end of April and he has started the Police Academy. With this swearing in, the Police Department is fully staffed.
The month of May has Police Memorial week in it, being May 10-16. May 15th is Police Memorial Day. We are currently flying a Police Memorial Flag.
May is also Mental Health Awareness Month which is a time to help individuals understand mental health and illness. Some resources include SAMHSA National Helpline (800-662-4351), National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988), Teen Line (teenagers provide support for other teenagers – 800-852-8336 or text “TEEN” to 839863), Veteran’s Crisis Line (dial 988, then press 1 or text 838255), and Child Help National Child Abuse Hotline (800-422-4453). We will be flying the Mental Awareness Flag starting May 16th.
