On 05/11/24 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Fairwind Blvd and W. Church St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Gavin Cope, 21 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was under the influence. Cope was placed under arrest and processed at the Sandwich Police Department. He was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08 and issued a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
