On 04/24/24 Officers were assisting another agency with an investigation in the 800-block of N. Main St. when contact was made with Michael Corson, 47 years old of Sandwich, Illinois. Corson possessed two (2) warrants out of DeKalb County: 1) Failure to Appear for Driving While License Suspended and 2) Failure to Appear for No Valid Driver’s License. Upon notification of the warrants Corson attempted to flee on foot from Officers, however, was apprehended shortly after fleeing and charged with Resisting a Peace Officer. Corson was issued a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois for each of the warrants and the Resisting a Peace Officer charge.
