On 04/23/24 Officers were investigating a Retail Theft in the 800-block of E. Railroad St. During the course of investigation Officers attempted to take Marcos Rodriguez, 25 year old of Sandwich, into custody at which time he attempted to flee from Officers. Officers apprehended Rodriguez after a brief struggle at which time he was transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Rodriguez was charged with Felony Retail Theft due to a prior conviction for Robbery and Resisting a Peace Officer. Rodriguez was released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
