On 05/24/25 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of the 200-block of W. Church St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Shelby Zimmerman, 33 years old of Montgomery, Illinois, was under the influence. Zimmerman was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Zimmerman was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
