On 10/30/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of N. Latham St. and E. 6th St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Luis D. Baltierrez, 21 years old of Aurora, Illinois, was under the influence. Baltierrez was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Baltierrez was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08. Baltierrez was released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
