On 10/27/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of N. 2750th Rd. and Holiday Dr, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Maya A. Shafer, 28 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was under the influence. Shafer was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Shafer was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08. Shafer was released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
