On 05/23/26 Officers responded to the 400-block of E. 4th St for a domestic disturbance. Upon further investigation it was found that the defendant, Pedro Barrera, 24 years old of Leland, Illinois, unlawfully entered a residence and committed a battery. Barrera had since left the residence but was located by Officers in the 100-block of Duvick Ave a short time later. Barrera was placed under arrest and charged with Home Invasion and two (2) counts of Domestic Battery. Barrera was transported to the DeKalb County Jail in Sycamore, Illinois to await a hearing.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
