On 07/12/25 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E. Bender St. and N. DeKalb St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Marc A. Nelson, 37 years old of Mendota, Illinois, was under the influence. Nelson was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Nelson was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC > .08 and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
