On 07/13/25 Officers investigated a domestic disturbance in the 600-block of N. Green St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation Officers discovered a domestic battery had taken place. The suspect, Phillip A. Hensel, 27 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was located in the 0-99-block of Chrissy Dr. Sandwich, where he was taken into custody. Ultimately, Hensel was transported to the DeKalb County Jail in Sycamore, Illinois for housing. Hensel was charged with 2 counts of Domestic Battery (Class A misdemeanor).
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
