On 09/14/24 Officers responded to a Domestic Disturbance in the 100 block of Boulevard St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was determined that a domestic battery took place. Jose Contreras, 34 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was placed under arrest and transported to the DeKalb County Jail in Sycamore, Illinois to await a hearing. Contreras was charged with two counts of Domestic Battery and one count of Interference with the Reporting of Domestic Violence.
