On July 1st, 2023 Sandwich Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Railroad St in reference to a well being check on a male subject. After further investigation it was determined that the male was under the influence of alcohol. Scott Olson, 65 of Montgomery, Illinois, was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. Olson was issued a future court date at the DeKalb County Court House in Sycamore, IL.
