On 10/25/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of the 900-block of E. Church St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Garrett Svatek, 22 years old of Sheridan, Illinois, was under the influence. Svatek was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Svatek was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
