On 02/14/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of W. Church St. and Fairwind Blvd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Adam Gerlach, 21 years old of Montgomery, Illinois, was under the influence. Gerlach was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Gerlach was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08 and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
