On 03/05/25 Officers responded to the 200-block of W. Church St, Sandwich, to check on a suspicious vehicle. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Ethan A. Wechta, 18-year-old of Sandwich, Illinois, was driving under the influence. Wechta was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Wechta was issued a citation for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
