On 12/23/24 Officers made contact with David Enriquez Jr, 54 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, at the Sandwich Police Department, 1251 E. 6th St, Sandwich, while investigating a domestic disturbance. During the course of investigation it was discovered that Enriquez was delinquent in reporting as a sex offender in Aurora, Illinois. Additionally, it was discovered that he had been living in the 1000-block of N. Spruce St, Sandwich, which was within 500 feet of Prairieview School. Enriquez was placed under arrest and processed at the Sandwich Police Department. He was charged with:
1) Failure to Register as a Sex Offender (Class 3 Felony)
2) Unlawful Residency of a Child Sex Offender (Class 4 Felony)
Enriquez was released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
