On 12/21/24 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of South County Line Rd and S. Main St, Sandwich. After further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Austin J. Thiele, 26 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was under the influence. Thiele was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Thiele was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08 and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
