On 11/19/24 Officers investigated an accident in the area of Wells St. and E. Railroad St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Richard J. Dys, 66 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was under the influence of alcohol. Dys was placed under arrest and processed at the Sandwich Police Department. Dys was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
