On 11/13/24 Officers investigated an accident involving a vehicle vs sign in the 900-block on E. Railroad St, Sandwich, in which the vehicle fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival. Upon further investigation it was found that the driver of the vehicle in question was Jason Owens, 22 year old of Sandwich, Illinois. On 11/19/24 Owens was charged with Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
