On 08/03/24 Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Alexander Dr. and Cindy Ln, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Clarissa Smith, 29 years old of Plano, Illinois, was under the influence. Smith was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for booking procedures. Smith was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
