On 01/21/24 Sandwich Officers responded to the 200-block of N. Joles St, Sandwich, in reference to a 9-1-1 investigation. Upon further investigation it was determined that a domestic battery had occurred. Jacob Copeland, 26 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was placed under arrest for two (2) counts of Domestic Battery. While affecting the arrest Copeland was uncooperative and was subsequently charged with Resisting a Peace officer. Copeland was processed and later transported to the Dekalb County Jail in Sycamore, Illinois to await a bond hearing.
