On 09/24/23 Sandwich Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E. Church St. and Dayton St, Sandwich. After further investigation it was determined that the driver, Maribel Carde, 43 of Sandwich, Illinois, was suspected of driving under the influence. Carde was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Carde was released with a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois. She was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC > .08.
