On 02/08/26 Officers investigated a noise complaint in the 300 block of Wilshire Dr, Sandwich. During the course of investigation a subject identified as Yahir Ortiz-Aguilar, 21 years old of Plano, Illinois, was found passed out in a running vehicle. After further investigation it was suspected that Ortiz-Aguilar was under the influence. Ortiz-Aguilar was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Ortiz-Aguilar was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08 and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
