On 11/07/25 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Elm St. / E. 6th St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, Edvin Medina-Oyuela, 43 years old of Beloit, Wisconsin, did not possess a valid driver’s license. In the course of investigation it was found that Medina-Oyuela was also in possession of a loaded firearm. Medina-Oyuela did not possess an Illinois FOID card or Concealed Carry License. He was charged with Driving While License Suspended and Unlawful Use of a Weapon and transported to the Sandwich Police Department. After processing he was released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
