On 07/19/25 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of W. Church St. and Fairwind Blvd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Michael P. Nilles, 36 years old of Plano, Illinois, was under the influence. Nilles was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Nilles was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC > .08 and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
