On 12/28/24 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of W. Church St, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, Melanie H. Perez, 22 years old of Somonauk, Illinois, did not possess a valid driver’s license. Perez also possessed a valid warrant out of Kane County for Violation of Pretrial Conditions on a current court case. Perez was issued a citation for No Valid Driver’s License with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date. Perez was taken into custody for the warrant and transported to the DeKalb County Jail in Sycamore, Illinois for housing.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
