On 11/15/24 Officers were dispatched to a retail theft in progress at Art’s Food Market, 29 N. Eddy St, Sandwich. Upon arrival Officers were alerted to a female who was seen putting a bottle of liquor in her purse and then continued to conceal it in her purse while attempting to exit the store. The offender, Julie Long, 62 years old of Sheridan, Illinois, was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. She was charged with one (1) count of Retail Theft (Class A Misdemeanor) and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
