On 06/22/24 Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of E. Church St. and Duvick Ave, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Juan Valentin Duran, 22 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was under the influence. Duran was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for booking procedures. Duran was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08 and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
