On 11/24/23 Sandwich Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Griswold Springs Rd and Sandy Bluff Rd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, Kara M. Viers, 34 of Downer’s Grove, Illinois, possessed a revoked Illinois driver’s license and possessed a valid Failure to Appear warrant out of Lake County, Illinois on a DUI charge. Viers was cited for Driving While License Revoked and issued a Notice to Appear for a future Kendall County court date in Yorkville, Illinois. Viers was transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing on the FTA warrant. After processing was completed, Viers was released with a future Lake County court date in Waukegan, Illinois.
