On 02/28/26 Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of W. Church St. and Fairwind Blvd, Sandwich. Upon further investigation it was suspected that the driver, Francisco J. Ramirez-Garcia, 31 years old of Sandwich, Illinois, was under the influence. Ramirez-Garcia was placed under arrest and transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Ramirez-Garcia was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08 and released with a Notice to Appear at a future DeKalb County court date in Sycamore, Illinois.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
